Victorien Millogo was born in Konkourona, Burkina Faso and is Dr. Jules Millogo's brother. Unlike Jules, Catherine and Gail, Victorien currently lives in Konkourona and is overseeing development projects to ensure they are successful.

Dr. Jules Millogo, MD, MSc, is a public health physician with more than 30 years of experience working in developing countries at national and international levels in support of primary healthcare, immunization and injection safety. Dr. Millogo has been empowering citizens from Konkourona Burkina Faso to escape poverty for over 30 years through support of education, healthcare and business development. In 2019, Dr. Millogo co-founded the Konkourona Alliance Foundation (KAFO), Inc. to expand his empowerment efforts to include improvement of primary education for all children in Konkourona, support for more secondary education for those children who progress to middle school, provide access to healthcare, and provide access to clean water and sanitation. He holds a Medical Degree from the University of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso and a Master of Science (MSc) in Epidemiology of Communicable Diseases from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, United Kingdom.

Catherine Hoath is the Director of an international regulatory team leading global registration activities for vaccines to prevent many infectious diseases. She has supported many international efforts to make progress on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to end extreme poverty, reduce inequality, and protect the planet by 2030, but was unsure what impact that support was having. In 2019, Catherine co-founded the Konkourona Alliance Foundation (KAFO), Inc. to ensure greater traceability between the support she provides and the measurable results. She is eager to empower the citizens of Konkourona to make improvements in education, health care and access to water and sanitation as a proof of concept, and expand to other villages, once successful. Catherine holds a B.S. in Biology from Ursinus College, Pennsylvania, United States, and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Keystone Opportunity Center in Souderton, Pennsylvania, dedicated to empowering community members in the United States to be self-sufficient. Further, she is a member of the Souderton-Telford Rotary Club dedicated to "Service Above Self."

Gail Houseman, RN, CNS-BC, is a registered nurse with almost 40 years of experience in direct patient care and education of prospective nurses. For the past 20 years, she has been working in a non-profit organization dedicated to helping patients with ALS. She has also supported many volunteer efforts to improve health care and education in the United States throughout her life and has had a lifelong desire to support development in Africa. Gail has two adopted daughters, one from China, and one from Guatemala and views the world without boundaries between people. She is committed to helping others live their best lives possible. Gail is a founding member of the Konkourona Alliance Foundation (KAFO), Inc. Board of Directors and helps provide strategic and financial oversight of empowerment projects in Konkourona.

Roland W Sutter, MD, MPH&TM is a public health “doc” with more than 30 years of professional experience working with children in developing countries. Dr Sutter attended medical school at the University of Zurich, where obtained his medical degree and completed his basic clinical training. He also holds a master degree in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from Tulane University in New Orleans. Thereafter, he joined the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), first as an Epidemic Intelligence Service trainee, then as a resident in preventive medicine, and finally as a staff and supervisor working on vaccine preventable diseases, especially polio eradication. To expand his role to the global level, CDC seconded Dr Sutter to the World Health Organization (WHO) where he led polio eradication´s efforts in research, production development and policy. Currently, Dr Sutter is retired from CDC and WHO, and now focuses his energies to support innovative community health and development projects (“making a difference”) to ensure children in the poorest communities have the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

Irène Millogo was born in Konkourona, Burkina Faso, and is the first girl from the village to complete college. She is serving as a volunteer for KAFO, connecting fund raising operations in the United States with the needs of the people in Konkourona.

Daniel Serge Millogo was born in Burkina Faso and moved to America as a young child. He attended university and graduated with a bachelor’s in marketing. He now works in IT and personal fitness. After volunteering in Burkina Faso in 2019, Daniel became passionate about helping the people of his birth home. He joined KAFO to make a difference.

Erica Valles was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, in the same hospital she worked in for two years after graduating with a bachelor’s in nursing. She now travels to hospitals in need around the United States. Erica also volunteered in Burkina Faso in 2019, and became passionate about making a difference. Meeting the children of Burkina Faso inspired her to join KAFO.

Luis was born on the island of Puerto Rico. He grew up in a hard working family where he learned the importance of a joined community and helping each other. He has Bachelor's degrees in business administration and marketing and also athletic training. Luis currently works as the Director of Activities in a US middle school. He began his relation with KAFO as a noble contributor, and decided to help even more by sharing his knowledge and time. His goal is to have the smiles of the people of Burkina Faso travel around the world.

Shreya Harikrishnan was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and is currently a junior at North Penn High School in Pennsylvania. She was raised by a single mom and the experiences along the way have instilled in her a strong sense of gratitude and a passion to give back to society. From a young age, Shreya has been involved in service through the spiritual organization, SSIO, and has also been greatly inspired by her grandmother’s selfless service. Shreya strongly believes in the message of Love All, Serve All and is motivated by the goals of KAFO to help make a difference in the lives of people in Konkourona.
