KAFO Thanksgiving Day Gratitude Walk
Time & Location
About the Event
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. As each year passes, I become more and more aware of just how fortunate I am. The best way for me to celebrate that great fortune is to share what I have been given with others. I am not alone in this feeling. So many kind and loving people fill soup kitchens with great food and generous volunteers on Thanksgiving every year. In fact, there are often so many people so eager to help that soup kitchens need to turn them away to make room for the people who need that help.
KAFO means "Thank You" in the local Bobo language spoken in Konkourona, Burkina Faso. This year, KAFO would like to invite you to join us at 9:00 am on Thursday, November 25th either in person at Peace Valley Park in Doylestown, PA or virtually at a location of your choice for a walk of gratitude. Let's walk together to celebrate gratitude for our lives, our families, our friends, our work, our homes, our food, and so much more.
If you are willing, we would so greatly appreciate any expressions of gratitude in the form of donations to our organization so we can continue the work we have started to support development in Konkourona. There has been such incredible work happening in the village already with the help of hundreds of friends and family members who have already been so generous, and we are so thankful for that help.
A light breakfast will be provided for those who join us in person at Peace Valley Park for the Thanksgiving Day walk. We look so forward to having so many people who care so deeply about lifting up a village of people they have never met all together. Just imagine the power of that love.
